Australian Women’s Skydiving Record set in Toogoolawah, QLD – TWICE!
24 fearless women have just broken an Australian Skydiving record, at
Skydive Ramblers in Toogoolawah, Queensland.
The skydive was an Australian Women’s 2-point 24 way Total Break Sequential Record. The 24 women jumped from two separate aircraft that were flying closely in formation, got together in freefall to build a 24-way formation, then broke grips, and built a second 24-way formation - all on the same dive.
Even more remarkably, these women achieved this record on their first attempt, as they had been waiting since Friday for the weather to clear up enough for them to attempt the dive.
Not content to stop there, the women continued jumping and broke another (different) record on their second jump together.
The record for the Largest Australian Women’s Star formation was broken by 23 women at Skydive Ramblers, directly after the Australian Women’s Total Break Sequential record was set!
The judging team that judged these records, were also all women.
